JUST FOR YOU - Long Term Care Colleagues

Welcome to my website and my BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT and FALLS page!

We talked about the Falls, Causes of Behaviors, the necessary Social Assessment questions and the interventions that address the resident's social needs.

I've added some tips to my blog on these vital topics. Visit my blog to review some of the "not to be forgotten" tips.

Often when folks return to real-life situations they think of questions they wish they would have asked me.  You can ask me your questions by simply emailing me or asking your questions on my blog.  Many times your questions are the same as lots of others.  Together we can help staff members and ultimately those entrusted to our care.

If you are looking for "information to share with your staff" how about considering owning my DVDs, HEY HELP ME HERE and MAGIC TOOLS OF BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT and BATHING MADE EASY.  All of the DVDs are available individually, but for the best deal, take at look at the BOXED SET - BEHAVIOR MANGEMENT - B-2006 on my Products page

Interested in the A RESTRAINT FREE ENVIROMENT or the  ALL THE KING'S MEN DVDS?  They are also right there on the Products page!

... The Rest of the Story...

Just ask William Chaltry, NHA from New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute in Las Vegas, New Mexico.  I had the pleasure of working with Bill as he took his facility from using restraints to manage behaviors to an approach that focuses on residents as social beings and eliminated restraints!  Not only did he demonstrate in his facility that residents, when viewed as individuals, don't need restraints, but he quickly moved on to assisting other facilities to make the change.

His success was accomplished through his dedication to a change in approach and his continued success is a testimony to the depth of the change in attitude on the part of each staff member.

Great job, Bill!
