What’s So Wrong About Saying “No”?

Bottom-line-up-front, if we can remove one word from our vocabulary when talking with loved ones with short-term memory loss, it should be the word “no.”

As children adults were always trying to keep us safe or out of trouble and used the word “NO” to get their message across.

Were you pleased with the adults’ concern for you? Unless I miss my guess, you were not happy being told “no.”

We are no different just because we’re older or facing the short-term memory loss challenge. Hearing that dreaded word has a similar effect.
